Welcome to my little corner of the literary world and mindful healing.
I’m Natalie Kaminsky (NZ Kaminsky)—an introvert at heart who finds comfort in rustling leaves, well-worn pages, and time spent with animals. A lifelong reader and a newborn writer drawn to introspective, immersive storytelling, where psychology, mindfulness, and imagination intertwine to explore our human journey, both inward and outward.
Through this blog, I share reflections on literature, emotions, and the healing path that unfolds when we read with intention. It’s a safe space for thoughtful readers, sensitive minds, and anyone searching for meaning beneath the surface.
I’m also the author of Sense of Home—a literary fantasy about family, loss, and the internal search for home and balance, guided by the transformative power of lucid dreams where fiction and reality collide.
A little bit about my background: I have a degree in Behavioral Science, have pursued further studies in language and literature, and spent years teaching before turning to writing full-time.
My furry companions often find their way into my stories, keeping me company as I build worlds where reality and dreams blur. When I’m not writing, I enjoy wandering through small towns and forests, sharing slow picnics, or getting lost in a good book.
I practice daily Vipassana meditation and believe in the healing power of an immersive story. My family and I live in a quiet suburb of Ottawa, having moved from Israel in search of safety and a more peaceful life.
Thank you for being here. I hope these words bring you comfort, insight, and perhaps a deeper connection to your own story.
